The Minister for Health, Mary-Anne Thomas, must urgently step up to find a solution to the
unfolding crisis at Bendigo Health.
In an alarming internal hospital survey, more than half of Bendigo clinicians feel burnt out
and within two years could leave for jobs in metropolitan areas.
Bendigo Health is under-resourced, with shortfalls in the electronic patient record program
headlining a list of concerns among staff.
The Premier, Jacinta Allan, must join the Health Minister and immediately look at what is
going wrong in her own backyard at Bendigo Health.
The Bendigo Health Care Group provides essential health services to our region, and the
results of this survey should set off alarm bells.
Our region needs to have confidence that Bendigo Health will be able to deliver services that
people need in times of crisis.
