A comprehensive two-day visit to Bendigo by Shadow Minister Tim Bull had been beneficial for a range of local organisations, The Nationals’ Member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad said today.
“Tim Bull represents a range of portfolios – all of which have key connections in Bendigo,” Ms Broad said.
Mr Bull is the Shadow Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers, Veterans Affairs and Racing and The Nationals’ Member for Gippsland East.
“We were delighted to visit all three codes of racing in Bendigo, including the Bendigo Jockey Club, the Bendigo Harness Racing Club and the Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association,” Ms Broad said.
“These clubs have a strong history in Bendigo and continue to contribute a significant amount to our local sporting landscape and our local economy.
“We were also pleased to meet with the Bendigo RSL, who were able to detail their proposal for a Central Victorian Veterans and Families hub, to provide access to a broad range of services supporting veterans and their families.
“We also enjoyed visiting PepperGreen Farm and meeting the team. It’s an inspirational social enterprise,” Ms Broad said.
Mr Bull thanked the organisations who had contributed to the visit.
“I’m pleased to have had constructive conversations with so many people. I congratulate all of these organisations who contribute so much to Bendigo and central Victoria,” Mr Bull said.
