Senior Victorian Nationals have thrown their strong support behind this year’s Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo.
The Nationals’ Member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad said a committed team was attending the show to hear the concerns of regional Victorians first-hand.
Over the three days of the show, Ms Broad will be joined by senior Victorian Nationals, including The Nationals leader and Shadow Minister for Regional Development and Liveability, Emergency Services and Roads and Road Safety, Danny O’Brien.
Also attending the Sheep and Wool show are The Nationals’ Deputy Leader and Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Mental Health Emma Kealy, and the Shadow Assistant Minister for Health Annabelle Cleeland.
“Now in its 26th year, the Australian Sheep and Wool Show is an incredible success story that attracts people from right across Australia,” Ms Broad said.
“It’s a testament to the hard work of the brilliant team behind it.
“It is also a great opportunity for locals to let The Nationals’ team know about the important matters that affect them.”
Ms Broad said people were concerned with key issues including health, roads, housing, crime, the cost of living and the controversial emergency services tax.
“Many people are very upset with the way the Allan Labor Government has repeatedly neglected regional Victorians while at the same time, the state’s debt is soaring and an estimated $15 billion has been lost to corruption under the Big Build infrastructure projects.”
Ms Broad said the Nationals and Liberals had a plan to give Victoria a fresh start.
“Our plan will reduce crime, lower costs and deliver a government that works,” Ms Broad said.
