A public forum on the future of Artificial Intelligence in Bendigo has been hailed as a great success.
The forum was hosted by Nationals Member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad and Senator Bridget McKenzie, Nationals Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.
A range of experts discussed the current and future use of AI in areas including health, education, agriculture and business.
Ms Broad said there was lively discussion, with over 100 people registered.
“People were interested in everything from how AI would affect employment and medical care to its amazing potential in the agriculture sector.
“They also raised issues around how much trust could be placed on the credibility of AI information and how that can be managed going forward,” Ms Broad said.
Senator McKenzie said the forum was an excellent opportunity for people to learn about the new frontier of AI.
“I thank everyone who attended and contributed to this important discussion. It’s timely that we look at what is happening with AI right now, and where it can take us in the future,” Senator McKenzie said.
