The Nationals Member for Northern Victoria Gaelle Broad has praised the work of local Men’s Sheds, and encouraged them to apply for grants under the latest round of the Men’s Shed Funding Program.
“Grants of up to $100,000 are now available,” Ms Broad said.
“The funding can be used to build new Men’s Sheds or for the replacement, extension or refurbishment of an existing shed.
“Men’s sheds provide a valuable point of connection for many men in the community.
“They are a place where men can go to talk to other men, put their skills to good use and support each other,” Ms Broad said.
“It’s great to visit Men’s Sheds and see the valuable work they are doing in Northern Victoria, not only for their own members but also to support the wider community.”
There are more than 325 Men’s Sheds across Victoria.
